Design criteria of structural members and non-structural members

Nishida, Akemi

Nihon Kenchiku Gakkai Shimpojiumu "Kenchikubutsu O Torimaku Shogeki Mondai, Jinsai (shototsu, Bakuhatsu), Tensai (Tsunami, Tatsumaki), Tero Eno Sonae", p.7 - 22, 2015/12

The guideline for impulsive load as explosion and impact is not specified yet in architectural field. This presentation corresponds to the contents of the book titled "Introduction to Shock-Resistant Design of Buildings" which made towards the impact design guideline. Some design criteria examples are presented to illustrate the applicability of the tentative guideline for impulsive loads. Two buildings - a steel frame and a reinforced concrete frame building structures are selected. The idea has been shown in this presentation are those that can be applied to nuclear facilities.

The Latest technology of impact analysis for structures

Nishida, Akemi

Kenchiku Kozo Rikigaku-niokeru Saikin No Hatten To Tembo, 2, p.1 - 10, 2010/01

The structural damages caused by impact loads have been assessed since the 1995 Hyogo-ken Nanbu Earthquake. In this report, an outline of the basic concepts and the main numerical analytical methods used to solve the impact problem is presented along with related studies in this field. In addition, the round robin analysis performed by the Japan Society of Civil Engineers is introduced. This analysis consists of a pre-analysis and a post-analysis for the identical predetermined experiment. Some different kinds of analysis are carried out by different organizations and the results are compared. Finally, the plan for guidelines of- architectural designs under impact loads is presented.

A Comparison with the results of three-dimensional earthquake response analysis of nuclear test reactor and the observed earthquake records

Nishida, Akemi

Nihon Kenchiku Gakkai 2008-Nendo Taikai Gakujutsu Koen Kogaishu, p.1047 - 1048, 2008/09

Additional reliability is expected for maintaining the safety of infrastructures like nuclear plants. We have focused on the construction an analysis system termed the "three-dimensional vibration simulator," which is a numerical simulation system for a nuclear plant that considers the interconnection of components, buildings, and their foundations under real operating conditions. The construction of a system that enables the generation of the mesh data of each structural part with a different mesh precision was already reported in 2007. In this paper, an application example of the seismic response analysis of a nuclear facility is shown. Also the comparison between the analytical results and observed seismic responses is shown. As the results, the applicability of the three-dimensional modeling of nuclear facility building is confirmed.

Large scale earthquake response analysis of nuclear test reactor utilizing assembling method of 3 dimensional CAD models

Nishida, Akemi; Shiomi, Tadahiko*

Nihon Kenchiku Gakkai 2007-Nendo Taikai Gakujutsu Koen Kogaishu, p.1071 - 1072, 2007/08

Additional reliability is expected for maintaining the safety of infrastructures like nuclear plants. We have focused on the construction an analysis system termed the "three-dimensional virtual plant vibration simulator," which is a numerical simulation system for a nuclear plant that considers the interconnection of components, buildings, and their foundations under real operating conditions. In this paper, an application example of the seismic response analysis of a nuclear building is shown. Detailed stress evaluation becomes possible by using the building response as the input for the component supports. The construction of a system that enables the generation of the mesh data of each structural part with a different mesh precision is reported, and by including a technology that can address the problems between the parts of an assembly structure, it is possible to reduce the loads in the complicated modeling work.
